My name is Larissa Vargas, and I am the proud owner of Downtown Woody’s Grooming Salon. My passion for safe and stress-free grooming began with my beloved family dog, Woody. Every time he returned from the groomer with a choppy haircut and a sad demeanor, it broke my heart. Witnessing his distress motivated me to find a better way, where no pup would have to endure what Woody did. While working as an EMT in Jersey City and Ridgefield, I realized that my true calling was to work with animals. Although I initially pursued a career as a vet tech, the emotional toll was too much to bear, leading me to seek alternative ways to care for animals. Thus, I enrolled in an online grooming school and juggled studying with my full-time EMT duties. As I immersed myself in the art of grooming, I discovered a natural affinity and deep love for the craft. Fast forward to today, and you'll find me at Downtown Woody’s Grooming Salon, dedicated to providing top-notch care for your beloved pets. :)
